We have been involved in large scale website design and hosting since 1994.
Our expertise covers a wide range of areas, including large scale dynamic database driven websites and content management systems where sites can be regularly updated by non technical staff.
SDA closely follow the developments of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), the e-Government Interoperability Framework (e-GIF) and other international standards organisations and work within both the spirit and the letter of those standards and recommendations.
We choose the right tools for each specific project and we always enter into a new project with an open mind regarding the exact set of software that will be best for that project.
Database driven websites
SDA/GIDE have a wealth of experience over many years of providing database facilities for Internet and Intranet sites.
Our commitment to open standards and technologies ensures that our software is interoperable with all major database vendors. Through the use of the Perl scripting language and its Database Interface (DBI) modules, we are able to write client database software which is capable of communicating with any of the database products supported by Perl::DBI. This includes PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL and Empress.
Programming
SDA/GIDE can provide programming in various languages including PERL, AWK, JavaScript and C.
