Online Pupil Database (OPD)
The Online Pupil Database (OPD) enables a school to collect and manage data about pupils in order to complete Census and CTF returns.
OPD is based upon the official DCSF Common Basic Data Set (CBDS), a set of data definitions or a 'data dictionary' which provides a standard for data used in schools and education authorities in England.
Some of the data is derived from other data. For example, the number of children in a school is automatically calculated from the individual pupil records on a particular date.
OPD is a fully managed solution from SDA and incorporates the latest technological developments. It is accessed via the Internet and has been designed with particular emphasis on security, ease of use and providing the facilities that a school needs.
