XML programming
We provide a range of XML services, including
- creation of XML Schema
- online validation of XML data with XML Schema
- extraction of data from XML
- advice on educational systems and XML
We provide data conversion facilities to various clients. For example
- we provide conversion facilities to the DfES for making data available to schools in XML format
- we use XML within systems which we provide for Ofsted.
Our CAWI/CATI system uses XML as a data interchange mechanism between components. Pre-population of data is handled by transformation to XML using middleware and this process is automated to easily take onboard data updates and also output different formats. This approach is flexible and future proofed and can easily be extended to accept different data formats.
