Online data collection
SDA/GIDE have developed a CAWI/CATI system that is extremely powerful and capable of running any kind of online questionnaire.
It is a mature product that has been tried and tested over a number of years. It is used for large scale survey data collection by various UK central government departments and many of the largest Market Research companies in the world.
The system is a true browser based application which means that no software has to be downloaded to the client. Everything is run via the browser.
SDA/GIDE are able to handle all aspects of CAWI and CATI including:
- Design and development of forms
- Hosting, or secure hosting, of site
- Respondents and recruitment (eg emailing or 'mail merge' letters)
The CAWI/CATI system is used by SDA/GIDE for 150 surveys each year. One such survey is data collection from schools in England for Ofsted. Another is collecting school based data from all LEAs in England for DfES (School Surplus Places).
With our wealth of experience in setting up web based surveys SDA/GIDE are able to develop systems very quickly. Simple surveys can be setup in just one to two days.
Our CAWI/CATI system is a specialist tool specifically designed to help create surveys very quickly. It can be used to prototype surveys very quickly and changes can easily be taken on board. Such changes can include reordering of questions and updates to validation and routing.
Please try out a demonstration
which includes an online questionnaire and real-time results.
We are currently amending our CAWI/CATI system to enable forms to be completed using Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs).
